POLICIES

1) Proof of Vaccinations
To ensure the health of all pets staying at Wyatt's Bed & Biscuit, we will need to see proof of vaccinations including Rabies, DHPPV and *Bordetella (kennel cough).

* Bordetella vaccination is a administered orally; we offer it here at the kennel for $15.00.

Proof of vaccinations can be a letter or shot records from your veterinarian that can be mailed in or faxed in prior to your reservations. Our fax number is: 803-648-6800

If your pet should require veterinary care while staying with us, we will work with your veterinarian or the local Emergency Veterinary Clinic to provide the required care.
We use Aiken Animal Hospital as our main veterinary practice should you not designate a particular clinic.

Whenever possible, we will contact you or the person you designate at the emergency number you leave us, if such care should be required.

Veterinary care is provided under the terms of Wyatt's Bed & Biscuit Boarding, Grooming and Veterinary Care Release Form. You may print the form out to fill it in and bring with you to your boarding or grooming appointment or fax it in prior to your arrival.

2) Visitors by Appointment Only
We understand the need to see the place where you are considering boarding your pet, and while we are quite proud of our kennel and love to show it off, we feel the photos of our facility in the gallery are sufficient. If you’ve scrolled through our gallery and still would like to visit, please call us at 803-335-2828 to schedule a convenient time.

We will only show you our grooming area if there are no guests being groomed; and the kennel area can only be viewed through a window. We are not the SPCA and find it’s extremely disrupting to our boarded guests to have visitors in the kennel area.

Please do not bring your pet to your scheduled appointment.

3) Checking in and Checking out
Dogs must be brought in on a leash. We’re open weekdays 7:30am-1pm and 4-6pm. Saturdays 7:30-11am and 5-6pm. Sunday from 8-10am and 5-6pm. We are closed to the public every afternoon without exception. On holiday's such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, July 4th we observe our Sunday hours.

You may check in your pet anytime during our operating hours. Checkout time is by 1pm on the weekdays, 11am on Saturday or 10am on Sunday.

Wyatt’s Bed & Biscuit operates just like a regular hotel or motel. If your pet is not picked up by the stated checkout time, you will be charged for another full day of boarding. See Pricing.

And please try to remember that even though we reside on the property, we have duties and personal chores to attend to when we’re not open. If our gate is closed, we are closed! Please do not honk your car horn or call us and expect to be let in prior to our stated hours of operation unless other arrangements have been made and approved. Thank for understanding.

5) Intact Males and Females
Wyatt's Bed & Biscuit reserves the right to refuse to board unsterilized dogs. If you have an intact male or female and are interested in boarding, please phone the kennel at 803-335-2828 to discuss details.

Intact dogs will NOT be allowed out in play groups. Intact male dogs that do board with us and are prone to marking will be charged a one time service fee of $15.00.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT INTACT FEMALES WHO ARE IN ACTIVE HEAT, however, intact female dogs that are boarded with us in-between heat cycles and wind up going into heat during their stay will be charged a one time service fee of $15.00.

6) Medications
We expect that some of our guests might require medications. If your pet requires prescription medication, topical ointments to be applied, eye drops or ear drops we charge a fee of $1.00 per day. We generally do not charge for vitamins or supplements that can be safely placed in your pets food but if there are multiple vitamins or supplements, we will charge for that.

7) Aggressive Breeds
We do not accept Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes. We also reserve the right to refuse admittance to any dog we deem to be aggressive or an aggressive breed, upon visual inspection. We realize there are many breeds that have a bad reputation and though they may not be aggressive to you the owner that can change when your pet is in new surroundings. It is not our responsibility to train or socialize your pet and we must protect our staff and all other boarded guests.
